This Friday (8), a young woman, identified only as 18-year-old M., was found shot dead in Parintins, Amazonas state, Brazil. A note was found next to the woman's body, which read "She died because she was passing information to the PCCU."  ·  ·  · |

A woman who was involved in drug trafficking was murdered inside an abandoned house where she sold drugs in Barranquilla, Colombia. The woman, identified as Z.S.A.S., was in the house when she was approached by two sicarios, who shot her dead. Found inside the house was a notebook where she recorded her drug transactions. Two recent cases from Colombia. A 42-year-old woman, M.A.C.C., was shot dead whilst riding her motorbike in Cartago, Valle del Cauca Department. According to witnesses, the gunman fired his weapon at least five times.    In Fonseca, La Guajira province, a woman of around 35 years, S.P.F., was killed in a sicario attack. Reportedly, a man who was being chased by sicarios entered S.'s property to take refuge, only for the shooter to enter the house and shoot his target, S., and her partner, injuring the other two victims.    |

The dismembered remains of a 20-year-old Kenyan student, R.W., were discovered disposed in rubbish bags at a short-term rental apartment in Nairobi earlier this month. She had been kidnapped, and a fee of $3,100 had been demanded by her captors even after her death. Her head, and her personal items, were not located. Around 12 miles away, a head was located near a dam - it has not been confirmed to have belonged to R. Four Kenyans, one Mozambican, and two Nigerians have been arrested for the murder. A butcher's knife and small axe were recovered from the Nigerian suspects' apartment. They claim the weapons were bought for self-defense.  ·  · |
