It was fairly close range whoever shot him. You can see where the plastic wad behind the lead balls came out and hit him as well. No fun in any respect.
Excellent observation. I've even seen photos where the plastic 'wings' of the shot cup made marks around the location of the wound in a cross shape.

Very true. When they are further away, it does spread out and make a cross shape. That is why I said it was fairly close, because that one is round. At any rate, it would suck either way. Close, far, both would suck. Shotguns are a force to be reckoned with, but you already know that. It seems some on here do not though.

He's got the old classical visual decomp action going on. The lower right quadrant (stomach) is usually the first to turn green. Guess that still holds true if it's been Swiss cheesed!
