Re: Bodies Recovered from Capsized Fishing Boat
I was watching a nature documentary recently (stfu, ****) and the host demonstrated how quickly these fish can strip flesh from bones. He held a dead chicken above the water, making it thrash to gain their attention, then partially submerged it for several seconds, when he pulled it up the portion of the chicken that had been under water just essentially just bones. |

Re: Bodies Recovered from Capsized Fishing Boat
I think this might be a repost? I think I've seen it here before. ^^;; Regardless, I would like to point out that it seems kind of... Erm. Fake. Take a look at the skull and tell me what seems to be off? -hints at the fact that the eye sockets are solid- |

Re: Bodies Recovered from Capsized Fishing Boat
Oh! Just pointing this out, too, 'cos I am a complete dork and like fish. :'D I can't really tell unless I can get a closer look at the piranhas, but if the picture is a fake they could easily be juvenile red bellied pacus, which are easily available in the pet trade. ![]() Also, piranhas school in such large groups not to hunt down big prey, but to protect themselves from predators, just like most fish do. They are actually omnivores with a high risk of being eaten by other creatures! :'D I don't imagine they would take down a man, unless he was already wounded. |
