Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
Yes your right. The other scenario and one I was called to involved a high speed cyclist running a stop sign. The motorcycle driver and cycle hit the passenger door of the vehicle at about 90mph, embedding the cycle into the car almost to the steering wheel and propelling the cyclist through the car killing the driver of the car and ending up into the ditch on the other side. Well most of him anyway. That is a high velocity impact there.

Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
my question is how did the bikers not look far enough ahead to see the cars? in a car i atleast try to give myself enough reaction time by looking ahead instead of at the road surface, dont get me wrong, i understand things happen too fast at times to react, but given the damage, id say they were going recklessly fast to begin with....

Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
bikes go up to 180mph or more...i'd say they were wide open on the throttle when it happened...blame the idiot bikers for having a track day on public roads.

Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
I cant figure it out. The only thing I can think of is that the bikes were coming towards each other with the car in the middle. Car hit the bike by the guardrail head on. Then a bike coming from behind the car hits. The only part that still does not make sense, is for that to happen, the bike should be on the other side of the road. |

Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
i agree lol when you have people whose thought process works like "hmmm, goes 180 mph, no saftey equipment other than a helmet and clothing, lets push it as hard as possible, and pretend nobody else ever uses the same road" this shit happens. the real tragedy is someone else was killed by their stupidity....

Re: Bikers Crash Into Car
I myself ride. I'm a ridah. I own a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10 and this bike goes a 180 mph stock off the showroom floor, and I have gone that fast...haha. On the freeway late at night with absolutely no possibility that a car will cause my demise. There's a lot of reasons as to why those guys ended up the way they did. It could have very well been that the driver of the car did turn in front of the biker leaving him little to no reaction time. Doesn't matter if the driver was at fault. When I ride it's like ZEN for me. I am very much in tune with what is happening and occurring around me at ALL times. I believe that each and very car on the road has the full potential to kill me instantly. You must have that mindset to become an accomplished rider. Or you end up like all these fucking gore pics on this site. Sport bikes are awesome machines capable of mind boggling speeds with a small turn of the wrist. On my 1000cc bike I'm capable of hitting 130 mph within seconds, easily, effortlessly. With that much power it's very easy for newbies to get into a lethal situation that they can't get out of very quickly. I've always ridden with some basic rules that have always kept the rubber side down for me and they work well. - I never get too cocky even though I've been on bikes since I was a kid. All it takes is for one dumb fuck on four wheels to fuck my day up because he/her can't drive or see the fuckin road right. - Do I like to go fast, really fucking fast? Hell yes I do, that's why I ride a sport bike. But I never go faster than what I might need to brake for. If I'm going a 130, 150 or 170 mph, will I have enough time to brake for what I need to? - I never allow myself to get boxed in with a bunch of cars. I always accelerate out of the pack, or intentionally lag behind the pack until the right moment to burst by them. - I never assume that any fucking car see's me or will give me the right of way. Especially going through intersections. Cars are notorious for turning in front of bikes. I drop two gears when I go through intersections and will be ready to blow by any dense mother fucker. - A car can be a deadly weapon. If you fuck with me on the road I will fuck with you and then be gone before you even know what the fuck hit you. - If you're a cop and you're reading this and you see me speeding on the highways of Arizona, leave it alone and call it a day or night. Save your gas and your time. - I am respectful of residential areas and school zones. I'm also not a redlight racer. The most dangerous areas to fuck around are on busy city streets. Too much potential for cars to pull out of driveways anyway. Lastly, always wear a helmet and keep the rubber side down! |
