Cars often turn in front of motorcycles because the car driver does not see the motorcycle. The motorcycle hit the car in the side. I'm guessing that the car turned in front of the motorcycle in this case. Almost all car drivers are conditioned to look out for other cars and tend to unconsciously 'block out' everything else. A motorcycle can be in plain view on a sunny day with plenty of reaction time available to the car driver and still be hit by a car because the car driver doesn't consciously 'register' the motorcycle. It happens all the time. |
