When you're depressed or mentally unstable and want to kill yourself those thoughts are of non importance at that time as also many just jump from heights without caring if they gonna hit someone upon landing or in cases of jumping in front of a train/truck they don't care causing emotional problems with the drivers or bystanders. They just want to die at that moment.

The blood on the lower leg could be from the struggle and she kicked hard against the tree or simply injured it as she climbed the tree and dropped - suicide or murder could have caused that?
