Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
The reason you will find that most serious bites are form so called pit bulls is because the media portrays about 6 different breeds of dog a pit bull when in fact there is only one true APBT. I have a bull bred mutt which consists of different breeds mixed but the media will portray her as a pit when in fact she has very little pit in her. It is all in misrepresentation. I have no doubt that the dog I'm question did the killing. There are a lot of genetically fucked up dogs out there and people to stupid to realize it. That dude surely doesn't look 81.

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
we had a case like that long ago. an old guy was killed by a dog he picked up months before. i think that was a cross of a big german shepherd and belgian malinois. dog bit his throat out of his neck... later it was found out he was trying to rape the dog. so the wondering about why he only picks up female stray dogs and why he doesnt let them mate got clear once and for all. |

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
The only good pit bull-type dog is the one that has been properly trained and handled by a responsible owner who knows damn well how dangerous they can be and knows how to handle them appropriately. Same for any other breed of dog. I'd lay bets on one of these situations: 1) It was the rescue dog that saw the old git as weak and decided to assume top-rank. 2) Old git had an episode of some sort, and these dogs (along with many others) often perceive an animal in the process of some medical emergency as weak, and they finish the job. |
