Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
sounds nice, but simply not true. i grew up with chow chows and one pitbull, and i have some stories about it. my family was solid and raised them extremely very well; that's EXACTLY why i hold the opinion that i do on pitbulls: personal experience, plus an awareness of whats going on in the world. google serious dog attacks and 99% will be pitbulls, and they occur on a weekly basis, just in the USA, for the last 20 years. google any other strain/breed,and you aren't going to match it, or come close.

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
Nyazzip, That's like saying you had one black neighbor who was a piece of shit and hearing about black crime on TV makes it so that all black people are dangerous pieces of shit. What happens when the news doesn't report on other breed attacks? It makes it look like most, if not all dog attacks come from Pit Bulls. I've had 4 Pit Bulls and known even more. Only one had bitten someone, because there was domestic violence in the house. That dog went on to live bite free until he died of old age. I've heard a lot of instances where Chow Chows are an untrustworthy, aggressive breed. I know a lot of people that won't have anything to do with them. They are on a lot of breed ban lists. (Insurance companies and such). Point being, you can have dogs and not know much about them. That skews what's really happening into an incomplete picture - when you're uneducated about the behavior of the animals. |

ONE pitbull. Not very much experience with them then. Just keep on believing what the media tells you.. |

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
I can picture a couple of scenarios as to how this happened. Most likely? Old cunt had a heart-attack, freaked out the dogs, and the dogs then turn on him because he's now acting fucked up and Pit Bulls don't like that one bit. Or, he simply tripped and fell over, and Pit Bulls went "Hey, man, you're too old and clumsy to live." Either way, an 81 year old shouldn't own a Pit Bull, or be rescuing them off the street. Most folks shouldn't own Pit Bulls, because they aren't educated enough or strong enough to handle them appropriately. In the right hands, they are fine. |

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
From what I've seen - most people shouldn't even own a Chihuahua. People don't want to put in the time to properly learn about the creatures they bring into their homes.

Re: 81yo Killed By Pitbull Dog
i believed keeping che-che in constant contact with other people and let them pet her everytime makes her at ease with people and less fear of being abused or maltreated. so far everyone around us likes her and every one of my other dogs.
