hopefully everything is thrown at the porsche driver, but it is amazing that the media and most others are so quiet about the dickhead truck driver, that ran into them. he drove off the road (possibly high as a kite, and most likely with drug paraphernalia in his possession and yet everyone is leaving him alone. if he wasn't indian, i'm sure that would not be the case

I disagree, because I’ve been in this position. Yes, trial by media with seriously injured Police involved.

The FACTS are the Porsche driver was speeding and tested positive for something. It could have been a joint he smoked a week ago, we don’t know.

This footage isn’t his. The police even acknowledged in court he didn’t upload anything to FB.

But so far his face,name,job and literally exactly where he lives has been given to every person in the state.

No one can tell you how to react when 30 plus tonne of metal, travelling 100 Ks,smashes into 2 cars and killing 4 people right before your eyes. The noise, the screams, the sight. Even trained personnel would be shocked.

So now some filthy curry muncher driving a truck has fucked his and 20 plus other people’s lives.

But the media has us trained. We need a villain, we need to point a finger. The media are scum. Self serving, manipulative liars.

The Porsche dude won’t get a job in this State for years. Apparently he is known to police and plays loud music at night. He drives a fast car fast and must be a douche. He is the evil one. The media has fucked this bloke for doing fuck all but being an arrogant wanker.

my post was to point out the fact that the porsche driver has been hung out to dry, while the guy who caused the accident has escaped almost any form of scrutiny at present, even though it seems he was as high as a kite and caused the accident. the porsche driver didn't cause the accident (but due to his stupidity was one of the reason why it could have happened in the first place)


i do agree with your views about the media - they are absolute scum, but it does also seem that (if the reports are correct) the porsche driver has been outside the law on a few occasions. no one knows how they will react in an accident of this magnitude, but he did seem to go outside the limit of what morals would suggest. i still hope, that if the reports are true, he gets everything thrown at him, but the idiot driving the truck is the main cause of the accident and should be on trial as such, but the media has conveniently shielded him since the accident

of course "everything thrown at him" can only mean, leaving the scene of an accident, not offering assistance etc. and cannot mean being the cause of it. that was the truck driver's fault

I agree. The law book will be thrown at him and should. I agree on the moral side too.

But the media don’t decide who is wrong or right. The courts do. It doesn’t matter what we feel because the courts work with facts.

It is completely wrong to publicly demonise someone, for a journalist and editors to whip up a frenzy, to embolden their reputations and for the companies to make money off others mistakes. All whilst the sheeple tag along and hate him now without thinking about the facts.

Ive been repeating myself, sorry. But until you’ve been thru this shit it’s difficult to see both sides.

agree entirely - fortunately i haven't been in that situation with the law/media, but understand exactly what you are saying

the dashcam video of the porsche flying through traffic came up on my facebook feed around the same time of the accident. obviously i had no idea why he was (or even if he was) going so fast, so was not going to share it. he might have been taking his pregnant wife to a hospital. there might have been some scum bag chasing him to steal his car; we do not know

not long ago there was an indian woman whose mutt tried to attack another dog and got killed for it. everyone vilified the owner of the "attacking" dog for days, but a couple of days later, video emerged proving the indian woman's dog started it all . . . . and suddenly everyone changed their side. i just put on a couple of those posts "that is why you do not post anything like this, unless you know it is true". surprisingly enough, i didn't get any responses

i personally cannot stand rent-a-cop posts on social media, because no one knows how accurate they are or aren't. unfortunately there have been many cases where an innocent person has had their life turned upside down through a well meaning, but totally clueless idiot

Apparently the truck driver had a 'medical episode'? My mum thinks it was a heart attack. Has it come out yet?
