Yeah, it was total shit. Her family and friends fought it for years and got stonewalled. It finally took fucking Bono interrupting a concert U2 was doing in Mexico City and bitching about it to an audience of thousands for the mexican government to censure and disbar the bought-off dirty judge who let the guy off the hook.

It was the week before Christmas when she died, which was super shitty because her most famous song (a duet with Shane MacGowan) was a Christmas song and still gets a ton of airplay around that time.

I remember sitting in my one-room apartment when a friend of mine from the UK called and told me that she'd just died. I got whiskey-drunk and antagonistic and spent about four days calling every radio station in this part of the state and harassing djs to play her songs. Most of them had never even heard of her. :(

She was smashing though.
