The driver was obviously watching his mirrors-that was clear because he backed up far too straight to have been doing it blind. They were simply out of his range of vision. His truck, on the other hand, all 15 bright blue fucking tons of it, was CLEARLY in the girl's field of vision the entire time. Or would have been if she'd been paying even an ounce of attention to her surroundings. It isn't like the driver came out of nowhere, clearing a corner at 75mph and splattered a crosswalk full of people. He was going in reverse for a considerable distance.

The video makes it clear that this 'accident' was no one's fault but the idiot girl who couldn't be bothered to stop texting long enough not to die.

Man was at work earning a living doing his job,girl was in a construction site of all places clearly not paying attention to something that can't help but draw attention to itself. Construction workers have not been trained to look for texting little girls on a job site. It's not a play ground. If anyone is at fault its the girl. I know plenty of drivers I have shown the video and they all agree.
