Footage has been released by Manchester police of an attack by two masked raiders against a shopkeeper and his wife, all for the sake of £35.
The incident happened at Stockport Road Newsagents and Off-licence in Denton, Greater Manchester, at around 5am on May 30 when two robbers armed with knives went into the shop.
They held a knife to the shopkeeper’s throat and demanded cash before his wife, who was in bed upstairs, came down to the shop to investigate.
She ran into the shop from the back room and slipped she got to the counter, falling and breaking her ankle.
The woman suffered knife wounds and was viciously punched in the face as she and her husband tried to defend their livelihood.
