Dramatic CCTV footage shows the moment an armed robber aimed his weapon at Ranvir Bassi, who was alone in the shop with her daughter Satpreet at the time.
Mrs Bassi hurled abuse at the attacker and pushed him back before locking him out of the newsagents in Rickerscote Road, Stafford.
Police are now appealing for information on the raid and hope people nearby saw the man in the local area.
