STONECHILD CHIEFSTICK- A DEAD INDIAN YOU BETCHA
Poulsbo, Washington is a quaint , small, waterfront town in the Puget Sound area "across the pond" from Seattle. It has a strong Scandinavian heritage that is reflected in the architecture and businesses on it's main street. A popular annual tradition is the 3rd of July fireworks display on the waterfront. On the beautiful evening of July 3, 2019 a large crowd had gathered at the waterfront park to enjoy the festivities. One of the attendees was Stonechild Chiefstick, a member of of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy’s Reservation in Box Elder, Montana but was also an active member of the Suquamish tribal community near Poulsbo. Chiefstick, who was drunk and on meth, harassed and threatened different members of the crowd with a screwdriver. A group of officers was on foot patrolling the event including Officer Craig Keller. Keller was a four year veteran of the Poulsbo police force. The officers confronted Chiefstick about the trouble he was causing and tried to calm him and deescalate the situation. He seemed willing to comply at first but continued to act aggressively as the evening progressed. He was confronted again by officers and "flipped" , attempting to stab Officer Keller with a screwdriver, according to MULTIPLE eyewitnesses. A screwdriver is definitely a lethal weapon when plunged into a person's neck. Officer Keller opened fire twice, striking Chiefstick in the chest and head. He died on the way to the hospital. We know from the cases of officers who have died trying a Taser first on drugged up perpetrators that they are frequently ineffective. I am thankful for a law enforcement officer with big nuts who will use lethal force when attacked, and not wait to be injured or killed for the sake of political correctness. After a thorough investigation, Office Keller was found to have acted according to department policy and and was legally justified to defend himself when he was about to be stabbed by Chiefstick . Unfortunately after two years the family of Chiefstick has just filed suit against the City of Poulsbo in an attempt to squeeze some money out of the taxpayers. Hopefully this case will be thrown out of court. The family should also be billed for any court costs. Chiefstick was a reckless and dangerous man who died as the result of his own stupidity. He definitely qualifies as a Darwin Award winner. His family should not be allowed to "cash in". Keller was a hero and also can be classed as a "hot" cop.  |

Hate that it had to happen right there in the midst of a crowd and many children around, but you never get to choose the ideal circumstances for things like this. I’m glad no one else was hurt.

Actually, I think they mis-translated it. The actual correct translation is "Stoneheaded Dipshit" I know, because I speak Indian fluently. |

That was just one of them, yes! Not only am I fluent in Red Indian (Even such obscure phrases as: "HiHowahya? for example) but I ALSO speak Leprechaunese! Also, Gypsy! I guess I'm kind of a polyglot, or whatever that noise is, the one you make when you clear your throat. (Anyway, that was the "Columbian School of Forensic Science and Plumbing", to be absolutely accurate. ) The teachers on the Forensic Science side said I should concentrate on Plumbing, and the teachers on the Plumbing side said I should be sure to only work on dead people, as they don't die so much. My language training was just an added bonus. |
