Re: Shot in the Face in a Parking Lot
Not true. The shooter was not being threatened with a weapon (at least none that I could see), and did not attempt to exhaust available avenues of escape. Additionally, he did not appear to be in danger of death or grievous bodily harm. At least one of those criteria must be present for one to legally employ lethal force as a means of physical self-defense. In this case, the shooter responded with asymmetrical force. |

Self defense with a weapon. I'd probably cap him in the face and then in both knees and both shoulders. Fuck he'd be crippled and miserable for the rest of his days.

Re: Shot in the Face in a Parking Lot
i only add that you DO NOT have to exhaust available avenues of escape under stand-your-ground laws. it does not apply to just being in your home (basically just an extension of castle doctrine) any time you feel your life is in imminent danger (and all that other stuff that justifies lethal force) you do not have to flee or look to escape. you are justified in standing your ground and use said force
