Shopkeeper Shot Opening His Shop in Gloria do Goita, Pernambuco, May 2023
At about 5:52 a.m. on May 31, 2023, a shopkeeper was shot as he opened his business in Glória do Goitá, Pernambuco. He was carrying a metal rack at the entrance when two men arrived on a motorcycle. The passenger got off, approached the shopkeeper and shot him, causing him to drop the rack. The two men then fled together on the motorcycle. The shopkeeper was taken to the Hospital da Restauração in Recife. The shooting was reported as an attempted homicide. No arrest was reported. |

This happened in Glória do Goitá, Pernambuco state. And as far as has been reported, the victim survived, and was taken to hospital in Recife. I think the victim pretended to drop dead. Another angle: |

If he was just pretending to be dead, he is incredibly lucky that the shooter ran out of bullets. Or he would've not been faking it anymore.  |
