Records show the suspect shot and killed by Seattle police Sunday after he carjacked three vehicles and attempted one more had a long criminal history.

According to the Department of Corrections, the 35-year-old suspect had just completed community supervision last month. Public records show his last known address was an apartment in Lakewood.

He served prison time from October 2013 until October 2014 for a variety of crimes including assaulting a police officer and attempting to elude police.

His criminal history included stealing cars, eluding police, illegal gun possession, DUI, theft and assault. He's been in jail in Pierce County more than dozen times.

Sources said his father also had a long criminal record.

His name is not released yet because police and the King County Medical Examiner said they are still trying to notify relatives.

Police fatally shot the man after exchanging shots during a pursuit that stretched from downtown into the Ravenna neighborhood.

Two police officers were treated at local hospitals for injuries suffered in crashes. No one else was hurt.

On Sunday, the suspect kicked in a door at a tattoo parlor in Seattle and pointed a gun at employees before asking where the security exit was, according to sources with the Seattle police. He then exited the building and took a car from behind the parlor.

Next, he crashed the car at the University of Washington and carjacked a vehicle the Nordstrom Tennis Center.

His attempted carjacking happened at the Shell station on 8th and 65th, when he attempted to steal a vehicle from a woman getting gas.

Finally, he carjacked a vehicle near Enterprise on Roosevelt.
