A robbery suspect attempts to outrun police in Texas...and winds up going through his car window.

This was the view for Fort Worth officers as they chased 43-year-old John Fain through city streets Wednesday.

Fain had allegedly robbed a fast food restaurant minutes earlier.

After some close calls through red lights and around city traffic, Fain smashed into the back of a pickup truck before hitting the highway guardrail.

Police quickly took Fain into custody...and then he was off to the hospital.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown into the window by the impact of the crash.
