Horry County Police have charged a third person in connection with a grocery store robbery.

Police arrested Akiem Cooper, 19, in the Marshfield Circle area of Myrtle Beach after getting a tip.

Officers took him into custody after a brief foot chase.


Investigators say Cooper is 1 of 4 men seen on videotape holding up the La Tienda Viva Mexico Grocery Store on the Highway 17 Bypass.

Police found three victims working at the store at the time of the robbery.

The victims reported that four black males kicked the back door of the store in and drew firearms at them, demanding money.

The suspects took money from the store, along with purses and wallets from the three individual victims

Police already arrested Deandre Bishop, and charged Irene Oviedo as an accessory.

Deandre D. Bishop, 18, of Myrtle Beach is charged with kidnapping and armed robbery.


Investigators are still looking for two additional suspects
