A retired military policeman was shot on Monday afternoon (26) during an attempted robbery of a lottery house in Brazil. According to information from the Military Police, Marlúcio Vieira de Sá, 48, was in front of the lottery shop trying to prevent the robbery and was shot in the leg.

The author of the shot and a companion fled on a motorcycle and have not been found yet.

The former MP was hospitalized. According to the MP, the sergeant is doing well and should be referred to a hospital in Anapolis.

According to Police, who is investigating the case, the sergeant went to the lottery to pay a bill, when he heard the assault announcement, was shot and reacted.

“He said he went to pay a bill and he knows the girl [employee], she was leaving with money, she was going to get her motorcycle and he went with her to the motorcycle. That was when the suspect saw him, drew his gun, fired a shot and then he [police officer] drew and retaliated, ”he said.
