Police Officer Accidentally Gets Shot by Her Partner
Indiana police were conducting a search for a fugitive, after exiting the home Officer Aaron Wright gets startled by a dog and accidentally shoots Officer Lane Butler just above her left shoulder over her bulletproof vest. Police Chief Patrick Flannelly stated this was accidental and not the result of negligence or reckless behavior. Lane Butler was sent to the hospital where she was in critical but stable condition.

Shooting your partner isn't the result of negligence? He accidentally shot her because he was "startled"? Talk about a blue wall scrambling to make excuses for this guy that absolutely no other cop will want to be partners with ever again. He should be a truck driver or pool cleaner - something that would never require him to be near a firearm.
