Brazil, A chase involving gunshots between police and a thug left a trail of destruction on Thursday night. According to PM, E. A. da S., 36, has an extensive criminal record for homicide, robbery, illegal possession of firearms and other criminal passages.

Even when shot, the criminal continued to escape in a stolen white Renault. CCTV shows parts of the hectic pursuit, which ended when the car crashes violently in another vehicle and parked motorcycle at an intersection.

The incident began when military personel informed the MP about the location of the stolen Renault.

After they approached the driver sped up the car, almost running over a policeman. When losing control of the car he invaded the courtyard of a gas station and overturned a fuel pump, but still managed to evade at high speed.

During the chase the driver pointed a gun out the window and fired at the police, who retaliated several times, but the perpetrator continued to flee.

The criminal still managed to escape another police blockade at a viaduct but eventually at high speed he lost control of the steering wheel and hit violently into a VW Polo that had just merged into the street from the right.

The thug was shot and got injured in the leg and arm and suffered several bodily injuries in the accident. He was rescued and transported to the emergency unit of the Hospital and unfortunately is stable, without risk of dying.

The vehicle was seized with a 32 caliber revolver with three rounds of ammunition inside.

The driver of the Polo complained of neck pain and also received medical attention. He bought the new car from the dealership a month ago. The car was destroyed, but it had insurance. MP were not injured.
