Off-duty Officer Exchanges Gunfire Near 50 W. Polk St.
On November 16, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., an off-duty Chicago police officer was involved in a shooting near 50 W. Polk Street. Officer Karla Alvarez number 18544 exchanged gunfire with unknown male individuals during an armed robbery of the officer's friend.
