NYPD Officers Pistol-Whip Kahreem Tribble, 16, in Brooklyn, August 29, 2014
Two New York Police Department officers chased 16-year-old Kahreem Tribble in Brooklyn shortly after 2 a.m. on August 29, 2014, after seeing him look into a parked van. Tribble dropped a bag and ran. After the officers caught him, one punched him in the head. The other, David Afanador, struck Tribble in the face with a drawn service pistol as the teenager raised his hands, knocking him to the pavement. Tribble was arrested on marijuana and disorderly conduct charges after officers recovered 17 small bags of marijuana. He pleaded to a violation at his arraignment and was released. He suffered cracked teeth and bruising. Surveillance video of the encounter was published in October 2014. Afanador was indicted in November 2014 on charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and official misconduct. Tyrane Isaac was indicted on charges of third-degree assault and official misconduct. Both officers were acquitted of all charges on November 22, 2016, following a bench trial in Brooklyn Supreme Court. |

Wow...no preconceived agenda here...nope...not at all.  I'm not seeing any pistol whipping...I've actually pistol whipped a few bad guys over the years and I'm not seeing that here. I want to see pistol whipping god damn it.Ah...don't you realize that posting such a hamhanded rabid anti-police video and narrative that your kinda shooting your cause in the foot? I mean the more you scream and shout at the trees, the less most of us are going to pay attention. It's like a car alarm that keeps going off and finally no one pays any attention. Just a thought...most of us here on DR aren't as totally retarded as you think and really can form our own opinions without your help. |

This video is too hard to see a gun in the hand of the cop. It looks more to me like he smacked the kid on the head. But nonetheless that smack was not needed.  |
