A disagreement ended in violence in the Santo Antônio neighborhood, in Irani, late afternoon this Tuesday (28). The confusion involved gunshots and machete blows, leaving two people seriously injured.

According to the Military Police, the fight began around 6:20 pm and involved several people. One of the injured, a young man shot in the head, was rescued by locals and taken to the Irani Emergency Room. In serious condition, he needed to be intubated and transferred to the São Francisco Hospital in Concórdia.

The second victim, a 46-year-old man, suffered deep cuts to his right arm and multiple bruises on his body after being attacked with a machete. He was treated by the Irani Volunteer Fire Department and taken to the Emergency Room.

Authorities continue to investigate the case to identify those responsible and clarify the causes of the conflict.
