Mexican Wrestler Killed Referee on TV
A tragic incident at a Mexican independent wrestling event has led to the death of referee Gerardo Germán Pineda, known professionally as El Búho. Wrestler El Hijo de Fishman has now been arrested. According to local reports, Fishman was facing Máscara Sagrada NG in the main event during a wrestling show at the Centro Deportivo Cultural 11 de Julio in Mineral de la Reforma in the early hours of Wednesday, October 7. After the match, the wrestler reportedly returned to the ring. He then delivered a piledriver, known in Mexico as a martinete, to referee Pineda. Pineda reportedly could not get back to his feet after taking the move. The show was stopped, and medical officials were called. When paramedics arrived, Pineda was reportedly found without vital signs and was later pronounced dead. Source https://www.wrestlezone.com/news/166...ibre-statement |
