SAN DIEGO — For the second time in a week a man in a clown mask and rainbow wig robbed a San Diego business.
The most recent theft was reported early Wednesday about 1:25 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Linda Vista Road near Northrim Court, San Diego.
The robber walked into the store wearing the mask, a black hooded sweat shirt and jeans, pointed a handgun at the clerk and left with cash.
He was seen leaving in a dark SUV, police said.
Last Wednesday, a Bay Park gas station was also robbed by a man in a similar mask and wig.
That thief walked into the USA Gas station on Morena Boulevard near Jellett Street about 12:35 a.m., pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash, police said.
He was described as white, with a thin build, wearing a black, hooded sweat shirt and jeans. He walked away from the store. No vehicle was seen.
