Man Is Shot Dead In Pechincha

A man was shot dead on Tuesday night (11), in Largo do Pechincha, in the West Zone. The victim, still unidentified, was sitting in front of a bakery when two criminals on a motorcycle approached and shot. The suspects then fled. The crime happened at the intersection between Estrada do Pau-Ferro and Avenida Geremário Dantas. According to the Military Police, agents of the 18th BPM (Jacarepaguá) were called to a homicide and found the man already lifeless, with several gunshot wounds on his body. The murder happened at a time when people were walking around the region and others were talking sitting at tables in establishments. With the shots, everyone ran. The site was preserved and the area isolated for forensics by the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC). According to the Civil Police, efforts are underway to determine the authorship and motivation of the crime.
