Re: Little Girl Attacked by a Dog
"...At the start of the 19th century the "Bull and Terrier" breeds were developed to satisfy the needs for vermin control and animal-based blood sports. The Bull and Terriers were based on the Old English Bulldog (now extinct) and Old English Terriers with possible other terriers. This new breed combined the speed and dexterity of lightly built terriers with the dour tenacity of the Bulldog, which was a poor performer in most combat situations, having been bred almost exclusively for fighting bulls and bears tied to a post. Many breeders began to breed bulldogs with terriers, arguing that such a mixture enhances the quality of fighting."

Re: Little Girl Attacked by a Dog
that's your choice. but stats don't lie. ...and would it really matter if there might be a more violent breed that averages 12 lbs, and has weak jaws? the fact is, pit bulls are attacking and seriously wounding/killing humans and animals left and right, at much much higher rates than any other dog. https://www.google.com/search?q=pit+...w=1403&bih=786 |

Re: Little Girl Attacked by a Dog
Here we go about the "Pitbulls" again when this post has nothing to do with Pitbulls. You think all other attacks by other dogs make the news? No.. you know why? because they are not 'Pitbulls'. Let that sink in for a minute. |

Re: Little Girl Attacked by a Dog
the dog breed in this video is very closely related to pitbulls. hence, posters here are talking about pitbulls and dog attacks. you have no point, other than that you are edgy and defend the idea of trash scum owning dangerous antisocial animals. pitbull attacks make the news because pitbull attacks are killing and seriously maiming people/pets/livestock at far greater rates/frequency than all other breeds. that's why we hear about pitbulls. and that's why pitbulls are being discussed here. there isn't some grand conspiracy to demon pitbulls because ____________....it's called "reality".

Re: Little Girl Attacked by a Dog
The dog breed is not "very closely" related to Pitbulls. You're disillusion and biased. Why don't you read the Wikipedia thoroughly since that's your only knowledge of the breed of dogs. I have a mini Pitbull and she loves childeren more than she likes adults, and i know tons of people that own Pitbulls and nothing has ever happened. You know why? because they train and treat their animals correctly.. It's all about how you bring the dog up. Blame the owner not the breed. That's my point. |
