Yakima Officer Kicks a Teenager at the State Fair, Force Ruled Reasonable, 2018
Officers broke up a fight involving about 12 to 15 people at the Central Washington State Fair in Yakima, Washington, on September 23, 2018. Police said orders to stop fighting and disperse were ignored, prompting officers to deploy pepper spray. A 17-year-old was sprayed in the face and head, refused an order to get on the ground and walked away. An officer then used a push kick that knocked the teenager down. The Yakima County prosecutor declined to file charges against the officer on October 9, 2018. On November 7, 2018, the city's Use of Force Review Board found the force reasonable. The officer then returned to patrol. |

Kid was pepper sprayed and didn't even know what was going on.. are you serious? It's a minor too, what threat is he?

I'm making no excuses necessarily but I'm sure cops get really sick of little shits all the damn time, when not dealing with the older ones. Looks like a disciplinary case here but still, one little moment when your discipline snaps can ruin a career. |

Maybe should have walked away from the situation to begin with? Call me stupid but I've dealt with the cops 3 times in my life on the wrong end. Each time, I did what I was told and guess what, the worst that happened to me was I got handcuffs put on me for about 15 minutes...
