A 15-year-old teenager stabbed a teacher early on Wednesday night (26). The case happened in a "reinforcement class" room in the Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, Central-South zone of Manaus. Classroom monitoring system cameras show Professor Vinicius Siqueira Figueiredo facing the blackboard when the student, a 15-year-old teenager, attacks him from behind with knife blows. The victim of the attack falls, gets more stabbed until he can get up and run, even with the teenager chasing him.

The attack occurred in the establishment called "Reforço Exatas", around 6 pm on Wednesday. The teacher was attended by a team from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) and referred to the Hospital and Emergency Room on August 28. His state of health was not informed. A police report against the 15-year-old teenager was opened and the Specialized Police Station in Investigation of Infensing Acts (DEAAI) will be responsible for the investigation. So far, there is no confirmation if the teenager has already been apprehended or about the motivation of the attack.

According to statements from the victim's legal defense, the violent outburst was triggered by frustration after the student received a low grade (a 3 out of 10) on a recent evaluation.

Victim, 23, was discharged from the Hospital to recover at home. he continues to suffer from severe back pain, difficulty moving his right leg and deep psychological trauma.

The minor is being held in a provisional youth detention facility and faces charges equivalent to attempted murder. Vinicius's legal representatives have also called for an investigation into the minor's family for suspected negligence and failure to render immediate medical aid after the crime.
