Brazil. Pregnant Maria F. S. S, 24, lost her baby after being shot during an argument at the door of a brothel in southern Goiás.

The young woman was on a bike when she was hit by a gun fired by a 31-year-old man. He has been identified and remains outlawed, according to Civil Police.

Recording shows, the man slaps two taps on the young woman's face, who reacts by throwing a drink at him. Moments later he comes back and shoots her. The shot hits the pregnant woman's chest, who falls to the ground, gets up, walks to the sidewalk and asks for help from a witness.

The young woman works in the brothel and was 19 weeks pregnant. After being rescued, she underwent surgery at the State Hospital and she is still in serious condition, but stable, with good clinical evolution, awake and conscious.

An investigator told that the suspect could be charged with attempted murder. With the death of the baby, he must also be held responsible for "third party abortion without the consent of the pregnant woman".
