I personally think the shooting was a bit much. Yea he punched them, but that's what tazers are for. Shooting an unarmed man is hardly okay.

The man breaks free and doesn't run away. He backs up and then comes back to attack the Officers. He backs up a second time and is shot. Everyone keeps saying he wasn't a threat when he backed up the second time and was shot. Why is that? He had already demonstrated that after he backs up he then attacks. Saying he was unarmed means nothing in this situation. In hand to hand combat the gun is no longer the Officers and belongs to whoever gets to it first. In close quarters a gun can easily be taken away. The only thing these cops are guilty of is not being in control of the man while cuffing him. In regards to her weight. I'm not going to make fun of her, but I think Police she be held to a higher physical standard due to the nature of their job.

Rules apply for civilians. If I were on a sidewalk and some random unarmed guy punched me I would be charged with murder if I shot him. Cops are above the law they know this and we know it in fact when they rarely do get punished for murdering, kidnapping, torture the most they will receive is a paid vacation.
Civilians are rarely allowed to protect themselves without being charged and sued, and the supreme court has ruled several times that our police have no obligation to protect citizens look at what happen to Joe Lozito or Jessica Gonzales.
Only job our police have is to protect corruption, make sure their arrest quotas are filled so the state can make money off arresting non violent people and putting them in prison facilities for years on petty offences while this countries real criminals run the prison facilities, make our laws, write the tax code, and inside trade.
