Unfortunately, the Google car hasn't been to the area for more than 8 years. Therefore, more permanent, distinctive features must be used to verify the location. I've noted four such features in the comparison graphic below.

1. RED Curvature of inner sidewalk and adjoining, wide outer sidewalk
2. YEL Stop sign anchored in sloping concrete feeding to crosswalk ramp
3. BLU Rising concrete stairs with small "hiccup" in tread continuity
4. GRE Shop sign with matching shapes, colors, and images

Other matching details are evident if you move the camera around—terrain slopes, street patterns, curb angles, building paints, road cracks, etc.

While none of the aforementioned alone makes the id, several of them together do.
