Ecuador - Cockfighting Ring Owner Shot
"A.N.M. (42 years old) was shot at inside her cockpit . The incident occurred shortly before a cockfight . The woman, according to the data reported by agents , received at least 5 shots , directed between the chest and the head, which keep her in critical condition in a hospital. The attack took place around 9:00 p.m. on October 1, in the Higuerón sector, Rocafuerte canton, Manabí province. The plumbing was recorded when the galleros were getting ready for another fight. A.N.M. was standing in one of the stands when a shadowed man fired a shot at her that grazed her forehead. She staggered and fell. The gunman approached and 'hit' more 'pepazos'."

"Cockfighting Ring Owner Shot" - such a loss to civilized society. Proper use, care and maintenance of auto loading pistols seems to be beyond the capabilities of many in Latin America. I wish we could see a picture of the pistol, probably corroded by ample body sweat and filled with sand, toe jam, dingleberries, butt jam and belly button lint. |
