Moments of panic, of great tension, were experienced in a Manabí cockpit, where in the midst of what was expected to be a cockfight, an attempted femicide was recorded. The dramatic events were recorded on video that has been circulating since Sunday, October 2, 2022. Some versions realize that the criminal act took place on the night of Saturday the 1st. In the footage, several men can be seen quickly leaving their seats around the arena (ring) and about three individuals throwing themselves to the ground and covering their bodies. There is no volume, but logically they take care of bullets. Confusion and fear reign inside the El Mango Gallos Coliseum, located in the Higueron sector, Rocafuerte canton, Manabí. Suddenly, on the right side, a woman is seen jumping and running towards the ring as well, while a man, wearing a hat with a black ribbon, fires his weapon against her. He chases after her, gets to where she is and keeps shooting her. The woman falls to the ground, raises her arms and then covers her face with her hands. The gunman inches from her keeps pulling her trigger. Nearby, two men stand. These seek not to be seen by the criminal and cover themselves behind the wooden sheets of the cockpit. The gunman keeps firing and for a few seconds, the gun seems to get stuck, jams, until he decides to run away. In PubliManabí they identified, this Monday, October 3, the woman as Ana M. And they add that she is seriously injured and from the cockpit they transferred her to the Verdi Cevallos Hospital, in Portoviejo. So, not dead yet. |
