Same here. Last night I watched a documentary about the Chernobyl nuclear reactor accident. It contained several interviews with various Russians about the accident. The involuntary rattle is why I watch these videos muted. That's something they leave out of movies. I make that sound when I'm dry-heaving after a gnarly bender or when I stub my toe really bad; it's a bodily response to distress, one which you strain to get out because it's so intense; and this is the ultimate in distress. It makes something as horrifying as getting shot in the head seem... I don't know, relatable in an everyday way.
