You know what really pisses me off about this guy's mom... she keeps making these statements to the press that "the whole world" is praying for him and she thanks everyone for their prayers, asking for more prayers etc. But she never says thank you to the doctors and medical professionals who actually are trying to keep this vegetable alive. If he's got any recovery in him at all, it's because of the actual work that people are doing in that hospital, and not because of some stupid fucking make believe prayers. It's becoming such a stupid thing to say... "Sending prayers". WTF does that even mean?

It means that it is the man above who told him that it was not his time, yet. Not the doctors! If it was his time, he would have been dead long before the ambulance even got to him. Give praises where praises is due and hope that the magical Genie in the sky which you don't believe in grants you such a favor to live through such a tragic event.

The book of Leviticus says that, according to God, any person caught working or so much as gathering wood on the Sabbath is to be put to death. God also ordered that every man, woman, child, and animal at Jericho be put to the sword. And he personally vaporized children at Sodom and Gomorrah.
