No one noticed it the first go round...sooo yeah putting it back out there. Tazing a handcuffed person is fucked up...nuff said really Also tasers are meant mostly for self defense...and I can see the use in also hitting fleeing dangerous suspects...but handcuffed? Seriously? That alone would have made her slow as fuck because your arms play a big part in running. Also Hayslett said Cole violated FHP's taser policy which states: "Fleeing cannot be the sole reason for the deployment." and for one more tidbit...when he points the weapon and fired he was almost touching her with the taser...in the time it took him to reach for and deploy the taser he could have just grabbed her. |

She tried to run, she brought it on herself. If she was already subdued it would be a different story, but the Cop had to get control of the situation. If he had of tackled her it could have easily turned out just as bad, a 270 lb man landing on top of a 100 lb girl on concrete isn't going to be an easy landing. |

Tackling wouldn't have been necessary...just grabbing her would have been enough. Also tackling doesn't have to be a full speed, bodies flying, people landing on one another tackle. Simply tripping her up, slowing her down, or otherwise stopping her could have worked just fine. If it would have happened with her being brain dead it would be a different story...but when he deliberately breaks the rules of deployment in a situation where he is at fault (she was inside...he had not cuffed her to a stationary object as he should have) and it is deployed out of laziness more than anything is just plain stupid. |

It is tragic, but it's also hard to find sympathy for the girl since it was her choice to attempt to run. And I just saw a vomit-inducing vid on YT her lawyer put together talking about what a sweet harmless little kitten she is. (Well...WAS...)

people just don't realize the danger they put themselves in when they don't follow commands of the arresting officer.-- plus. it's one in a million to impact like that. her head really smacked hard/
