Cop Shoots Drunk Guy Holding a Knife He Stabbed His Partner with
The Sosnogorsk City Court heard the criminal case against a 44-year-old local resident. He was found guilty of threatening to kill, intentionally causing minor bodily harm using objects used as weapons, and threatening to use violence against a government official. The court found that in April 2025, a man and woman had a dispute while drinking in a house in Sosnogorsk. The enraged man threatened to kill his partner and stabbed her five times on her legs. He then called an ambulance and the police. The troublemaker ignored the demands of the arriving police officers to put the knife down. Furthermore, despite a warning shot fired upward, he advanced toward the officer, knife in hand. The Sosnogorsk resident's illegal actions were only stopped by the use of his service weapon. The defendant pleaded guilty only to the crimes committed against his partner and apologized to her. The court took the state prosecution's position into account and sentenced the man to two and a half years of forced labor, with a 10 percent tax deduction from his earnings for the state. The sentence has not entered into legal force, according to a press release from the Komi Prosecutor's Office. |

In the US that officer would be sued by the offending parties. I think I prefer some Russian laws over ones in the US. Too many “human rights” organizations over here. Most criminals shouldn’t have any. |
