CALIFORNIA | Psycho Fatally Shot After Taking Female Officer's Gun

Sadly, this is the direct result of DEI hiring in law enforcement...

Quote:
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, (May 14, 2025) — Fountain Valley police have released graphic body-camera video of a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on January 24, 2025.

The video shows the moments leading up to the shooting of 26-year-old Osean McClintock, who police say attacked an officer, took her gun, and entered her patrol vehicle.

The incident started near Kazuo Masuda Middle School after McClintock allegedly tried to enter a woman's car, police said.

A witness alerted the police, who located McClintock near Brookhurst Street and Cedar Avenue.

According to police, McClintock ignored commands to sit down and ran away.

An initial foot pursuit was called off, but another officer soon reported seeing him.

The first pursuing officer then heard his partner's distress call over the radio.

Arriving at the scene, he found McClintock holding a gun believed to be his partner's service weapon.

McClintock then entered the officer's police vehicle, at which point the officer fired multiple shots, resulting in McClintock's death at the scene.

Body camera footage from the female officer shows McClintock taking her gun as she was seated in her patrol car.

In the body-cam footage, the female officer can be heard radioing that the suspect had her gun and pleading with McClintock, saying, "Please don't shoot me!" as she sought cover behind a USPS vehicle.

She's got her gun?
Why the heck didn't she pull the trigger when that bible-thumping idiot grabbed her gun/hand.

Exactly! She should have just started putting rounds in him point blank.

The old adage: He who hesitates is lost.

Re: CALIFORNIA | Psycho Fatally Shot After Taking Female Officer's Gun

The fact is nobody knows why she didn't fire. Maybe she didn't have a round chambered maybe she had the safety on and couldn't get it off quick enough. Maybe she hesitated, maybe she thought pointing the gun out of would scare him away. Maybe she was trying to fire but she couldn't get her finger on the trigger quick enough . The suspect didn't shoot her either we don't know if he tried but maybe he did and he couldn't get the gun to fire cuz it wasn't ready to fire. Situation developed really fast. Sure many officers would have gotten a shot off and killed him right there but I'm willing to bet there's a sizable number that wouldn't have been able to just like she did and they're not all women.
Now imagine yourself being on the ground and a suspect has your gun and you're expecting to get shot pleading for your life that'll send many people into a panic from which they can't recover quickly women and men alike.

Re: CALIFORNIA | Psycho Fatally Shot After Taking Female Officer's Gun

After careful examination of the female's bodycam along with my personal knowledge of police tactics, I can clarify several points...
  • All police sidearms are fully chambered (i.e. always one in the pipe).
  • There is no external safety on the Sig Sauer P320 (just squeeze the trigger).
  • The pistol was in full battery during the entire encounter (i.e. slide forward, ready to go bang).
  • Her finger was clearly accessible to the trigger for several seconds during the struggle.

All of this points to a deliberate reluctance or fear to pull the trigger. Not to mention she was literally in a fight for her life and she acted as though she didn't want to break a nail.

IMHO, this is unforgivable behavior that could have resulted in not only her but her fellow officers being shot. She was extremely LUCKY. Anyone who lacks the ability to retain their weapon and aggressively protect themselves or others has absolutely no business being a cop regardless of gender.
