She's got her gun? Why the heck didn't she pull the trigger when that bible-thumping idiot grabbed her gun/hand. |

Exactly! She should have just started putting rounds in him point blank. ![]() The old adage: He who hesitates is lost. ![]() |

Re: CALIFORNIA | Psycho Fatally Shot After Taking Female Officer's Gun
The fact is nobody knows why she didn't fire. Maybe she didn't have a round chambered maybe she had the safety on and couldn't get it off quick enough. Maybe she hesitated, maybe she thought pointing the gun out of would scare him away. Maybe she was trying to fire but she couldn't get her finger on the trigger quick enough . The suspect didn't shoot her either we don't know if he tried but maybe he did and he couldn't get the gun to fire cuz it wasn't ready to fire. Situation developed really fast. Sure many officers would have gotten a shot off and killed him right there but I'm willing to bet there's a sizable number that wouldn't have been able to just like she did and they're not all women. Now imagine yourself being on the ground and a suspect has your gun and you're expecting to get shot pleading for your life that'll send many people into a panic from which they can't recover quickly women and men alike. |

Re: CALIFORNIA | Psycho Fatally Shot After Taking Female Officer's Gun
After careful examination of the female's bodycam along with my personal knowledge of police tactics, I can clarify several points...
All of this points to a deliberate reluctance or fear to pull the trigger. Not to mention she was literally in a fight for her life and she acted as though she didn't want to break a nail. IMHO, this is unforgivable behavior that could have resulted in not only her but her fellow officers being shot. She was extremely LUCKY. Anyone who lacks the ability to retain their weapon and aggressively protect themselves or others has absolutely no business being a cop regardless of gender.
