Re: Bodycam Video of Officer Being Shot Multiple Times
Here is the story about the panty stain that is accused of shooting the officer. He's obviously a wrongly accused, upstanding citizen. It's unfortunate that none of the officers bullets hit this dickhead. http://www.abqjournal.com/522673/new...ting-case.html |

Re: Bodycam Video of Officer Being Shot Multiple Times
He ran out of ammo (slide locked back indicates this). I was wondering the same thing. He might have been carrying a .45 which means lower ammo capacity. As much as I love .45s, this video is exactly why I would only carry a weapon with 15+ rounds for law enforcement. You may not get a chance to reload. Thankfully this guy didn't decide to shoot the cop in the head as he exited the car. Must be insanely scary to realize you're pointing an empty gun at an armed perp who just tried to kill you...

Re: Bodycam Video of Officer Being Shot Multiple Times
As was the case with Michael Brown. Once the world heard him calling the officer a pussy and resisting arrest, his supporters had to slink off with their tails between their legs.

Re: Bodycam Video of Officer Being Shot Multiple Times
I had a different point explained to me. The problem is with the cost when tied to the freedom of information act. So you have what ever amount of cops wearing camera's 24 hours a day. Think of the private information that the encounter. Your SSN number in a traffic stop , or inside your house when your kids bike gets stolen. So , they have to not only store all this digital data , but if someone asks for this data, it has to be given up. So that means the police have to pay someone to watch the data in REAL time. Say a journalist has a hard on for a Michael Brown type story and asks for the last 12 months of data from all 30 or so cops on duty 24 hours a day. What if its a whole city or whole state? THOUSANDS of employees would need brought on to watch and edit this tapes just to hand them over on a whim from a journalist. So either the laws need changed or something needs to be done to change how this could go bad. It could bankrupt a city pretty easy. |

Wow!! That officer remained super calm after getting shot multiple times and injured. His radio communications did'nt even show excitement in his voice. He was very fortunate.
