Body Cam - Walmart Thief Shot in Head (Survives)
On March 2, 2022, Theft Prevention Officer, who is employed by Walmart (Lake Forest CA), called 911 to report that she thought the pair (M/F) had a 'fake receipt' and were trying to steal electronics. When officers told the pair they had to leave because they were being refused service, officers discovered E.P.A. (M/30) from Santa Ana, had a knife on him. He reached for it and Deputy 2 told him to stop and started to handcuff him because he didn't 'know if E.P.A have other weapons. He began to struggle with Deputy 2 and 3 and eventually Deputy 1, who was escorting the woman (S.F./38), had to come back and help. With the help of a civilian, the four men managed to get him on the ground and Deputy 1 began shouting that E.P.A had a gun. 'He's got a gun! He's got a gun! Shoot him, shoot him!' Deputy 1 said before firing one shot into E.P.A.'s head. Deputy immediately reported to his superior that E.P.A. was shot and that woman had left Walmart on foot. E.P.A, who pleaded for help as he said he was “dying,” miraculously survived. He had surgery at a hospital following the shooting, was recovering in jail. He remained in custody in lieu of bail set at nearly $2.3 million, county records show. E.P.A. was charged with several felonies, including assault on a peace officer and possession of a gun missing a serial number (ghost gun). S.F., who was found in his room, later said that Aguilar had $1,000 in cash on him and was buying toys and diapers 'for her children". Yep. I wonder what kind of condition he’s in. He went totally limp when he got shot. I thought he died when I watched it. Shocked to learn different.  |

First time I watched this I thought he was dead as well. I've been trying to keep tabs on his case - still on-going. It's just another example of Lady Justice draggin' her ass.  |

I've updated the OP with his booking details ... I've, of course, removed any identifying information. I also attached a podcast that discussed this case. One of the podcasters is a police officer. (I myself haven't listened to it yet). Also, with HIPPA laws, his medical condition won't be released without his permission. So, we may never find out what damage is permament. |
