Body Cam Released of Pursuit Suspect Jumping from Bridge
Tulsa police have released a dramatic body camera video, which shows an April pursuit suspect hopping over a bridge and falling to the ground below. Investigators say it started after they got a call that a man was pointing a gun. They caught up with the suspect - 23-year-old Damico Hunter (aka Taylor). During their chase, police say Hunter crashed his car and tried running away. That's when video shows he fell from a bridge at Interstate 244 and U.S. Highway 75. Officers ran down the ramp to render aid until paramedics arrived. Hunter was taken to a hospital with a skull fracture. Later, he was booked in the Tulsa County jail and faces a handful of charges, including shooting with intent to kill. |

Well, that was kind of dumb. All that jumping from the bridge earned him was a skull fracture on top of everything else.

He was told to lay down on the ground and he complied. Sure, the ground was 30 feet down, but he followed his orders.  |

The fall itself must have been punishment enough. I wonder if it will make the guy see a peaceful life in a whole new light, should he ever get out of jail soon.

I'm very surprised he's in decent shape. I lost a dear friend a couple years ago. He was a motorcycle police officer and out on a training run with a couple other officers. He lost control of his bike on the highway and went right over the overpass. Even though he landed on the grass and not the pavement, he was gone :(
