Blowing Up a Trash Can with a Firecracker
A group of 8 people, adults and children, came to a park in vladivostok on New Year's Eve. They threw firecrackers, shot into the air with something very similar to a gun and blew up a trash can causing damage worth tens of thousands of rubles. According to eyewitnesses, the ringleader was a drunken middle-aged man. |

Re: Blowing Up a Trash Can with a Firecracker
When I was a kid (mid-70s), several times I saw people launching coffee cans and similar empty containers into the air with a firecracker or M-80 or such under them: strangely, this practice wasn't limited to around July 4. One time, several launches along, one can just shattered in place on the ground. I was lucky enough to be a bit away and kind of behind some people, and didn't get shrap'd. Nobody died (that I know of) but a couple dozen partygoers were hit, from just barely to 'hey, need a tourniquet here'. Sirens of the Blams, y'all...

THAT was "tens of thousands of rubles:"? I knew Russian money had crashed, but I didn't know "tens of thousands" of rubles were actually only 83 cents! |

lol. where the fuck do you buy firecrackers like that? we used to get these green things from west virginia that we called cracker bombs. they were square and like yarn wrapped and had like an epoxy over them. they pretty small. maybe 2x2" but they were loud as fuck!
