Beaverton Shoplifter Loses Shirt & Pants After Struggle

A shoplifter loss both his shirt in and his pants in a struggle with a shop owner who was trying to stop him from steeling. He tried to steal two bottles of beer.

A 21-year-old man who allegedly tried to steal two bottles of beer from a Beaverton convenience store ended up shirtless and in his boxers after the store owners wrestled him around the front of the store until police arrived.

Surveillance video shows the co-owners grab ahold of Solomon Yemane-Berhane soon after one prevented him from walking out the front door late Nov. 9. The three tussle around for about three minutes while at least two customers stand and watch the scuffle at Best Mart along Southwest Hall Boulevard.

Yemane-Berhane eventually manages to slip out of the grips of the husband and wife owners, loses his jacket and t-shirt in the process, and sprints out the door. He had apparently already lost his shorts while out of the view of the surveillance camera.

Broken beer bottles, overturned displays and candy were strewn throughout the store after the scuffle, Beaverton police said. A damage estimate was not released.

Police arrested Yemane-Berhane nearby. He ran and flipped off officers when they tried stopping him, police said. No one was seriously injured.

He stopped being a shoplifter when he began fighting for the beer...he's now a robber...oh yeah! So by fighting and causing a giant scene over two fucking beers, he took a lite weight misdemeanor citable offense and turned it into a strikeable felony with a potential prison term. Good job dipshit.
