Freedom of speech or public nuisance?!? I hate to say it but the guy really escalated the situation more than needed. Thats what got his ass in trouble. He was very combative to say the least. If he wouldve just chilled his ass out he probly wouldnt have had to take that ride but he chose to make a huge scene and blew it out of proportion.

You are so right, friend. There's a thin line between simple swearing and being a public nuisance. It's not illegal to swear that's true, but you can go into a public area and yell out profanities especially if there are kids around. Besides, this guy was combative. If I were a cop, I would've hauled his ass off to lock up.

When they did take his ass to the dirt, they not only allowed bystanders to hit them, but they let 'Rastus' back up again! They should have maced, tased, and then shot anyone left that was stupid enough to get into a fist fight with dudes with weapons. It's really too bad the big fat cop didn't arrive a little sooner and that he wasn't the one kneeling on the punk's neck--This vid would be so much better if there was an audible 'snap' of that asshole's neck breaking--and it would have shut his fucking mouth too--A Win-Win.  :

I have to say that was a total joke. He should have been arrested after about 5 seconds. 2 burly officers like should have been able to take him down and get him cuffed up in a matter of seconds, then remove him from the area. Instead they fannied about and prolongued the exposure the members of public had to such confrontational and out of order language. Talk about no idea of their powers! I don't know what laws coverthis in the U.S, but here in the UK a Section 5 public order warning would have been given after his first obscenity. After that his ass would have been on the floor. Also both he and the female slapping the officer would have had a face full of mace. Totally justified.
