A 14-year-old boy attacked his 43-year-old father, with a knife inside their home in April 28, 2023 in the San Martin neighborhood of West Recife, Brazil.

The son told the authorities that he was challenged in the Roblox game to attack his father and then commit suicide.

The crime was committed while the father was lying on the sofa at home after consuming alcoholic beverages.

Using a knife, the teenager then stabbed the man repeatedly, and he filmed it to be later sent to other users of the gaming platform.

While the teenager complained in the chat that his father kept moving, his father desperately fought for his life and miraculously survived the severe stabbing.

He managed to escape and was taken to the Hospital.

Following the attack, the civil police arrested the minor and launched a wider forensic investigation into the group chat to track down the members who actively encouraged and assisted the crime online.

The son, because of his age, was charged under the juvenile justice system with an infraction equivalent to attempted murder. He was placed in a juvenile detention center.

The cybercrime division tracked down the group admins and participants. The users providing active encouragement faced federal criminal investigations for inciting violence and complicity in attempted murder.
