It's really cool, but in the US that's a Federal felony. Flamethrowers are considered by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives to be an "any other weapon" and requires special taxes, backgrounds, and fees to manufacture, sell/transfer, or possess. This guy's looking at like two years in Federal prison for mere possession...let alone manufacturing a flamethrower. Neat toy, but probably not worth the grief.

So you can go to the supermarket and buy an ACTUAL gun that fires ACTUAL bullets, and in some states even walk around the STREETS with it loaded in your .....pocket... gun belt... whatever... AND even shoot someone DEAD with it and not end up in jail, but you're not allowed to play with petrol you fill up your cars with? (which by the way is still ridiculously cheap compared to the rest of the world so quit ya fackin moanin!  )I guess I shouldn't be surprised really. Nothing that comes out of America should surprise me anymore. You guys have got it all - From Dr. Michio Kaku to Honey Boo Boo. |

I hate to break it to you, but you can get a concealed-carry permit in the majority of U.S. states.  But forget about putting a suppressor on it in most states. Same sort of fiddly rules that apply to flamethrowers.  |

Makes no sense to me being legally able to carry an hidden firearm capable of killing someone but if you fuck around with a bit of petrol, boy you better watch out for the old po' po'. |
