here, its one of the ways to correct that, in the states, most parents will just ignore it after a few verbal admonitions because hitting a child is a jail-able offense there. am i correct?

It depends on how it's done. If you popped the little turd at home and you didn't leave too big of a mark...you're golden. If you smack the princess's mouth in front of God and everyone...then you run the risk of some do gooder running to the local police. Which doesn't mean they'll do anything, but might cause difficulty later when the retards at children's services get their hooks in you. So the rule of thumb is to just do what every good police does on occasion...hit'em hard, leave no marks, do it where there are no video cameras or witnesses, and deny deny deny...then counter attack and accuse them.  |

Thanks for the enlightening 30564U. SO there's still a loophole in that very strict child welfare stuff over there. so if its your word against your child, you just deny.... though i still think that would make the child worst knowing the parent is not just a hitter but a liar as well. Heads the child wins, Tails the parent lose.. tough life.,
